- Nissan North America has confirmed in a press release that pricing for the 2027 Rogue Hybrid lineup ranges from the $37,065 for the SV trim to $45,065 for the top-of-the-line Platinum trim, both including a $1,575 destination fee.
- Nissan pegs preliminary EPA estimates for the mid-trim SR at 40 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 38 mpg combined. All Rogue Hybrids will come with all-wheel drive. Rather than emphasizing hybrid efficiency gains, Nissan is initially positioning the Rogue Hybrid as smoother, quicker-performing, and quieter.
- Most of the lineup arrives in early 2027, but the SR with SR Technology Package, at $43,065, is coming to U.S. dealerships this fall.

The Rogue Hybrid fills a gap in the automaker’s lineup, allowing it to face off against hybrid versions of the Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, and Kia Sportage.
"Hybrids are increasingly becoming the powertrain of choice for U.S. customers, and we believe that trend will only accelerate," said Christian Meunier, chairman of Nissan Americas, in a statement.
The lineup's price range make it quite closely aligned with similarly equipped versions of the other models in its peer set, with some exceptions. While feature packages make it difficult to compare models exactly, the Kia Sportage Hybrid and Hyundai Tucson Hybrid both have more value-focused base trim levels with front-wheel drive models starting under $33,000, including destination fees.
The Rogue Hybrid is priced at a premium of less than $4,000 above an equivalent non-hybrid gasoline Rogue in all-wheel-drive form. But with the Rogue Hybrid not available in front-wheel drive form or in a base S model, it starts $6,000 higher than the most affordable non-hybrid Rogue.
Non-hybrid Rogue AWD models get 31 mpg combined according to the EPA. With Nissan expecting about 38 mpg combined for the Rogue Hybrid and claiming “exceptional efficiency,” the price premium could take a few years of ownership to pay off even given a long commute and $6-a-gallon gas.
That said, Nissan has been focusing on more than better mpg in the months leading up to this model’s launch.
The Technology Package added to first-arriving SR versions brings Nissan’s ProPilot Assist, with a hands-off driving mode for traffic jams. It also has a larger 14.3-inch touchscreen system with Google built-in, plus a bigger dashboard display, a power panoramic sunroof, and parking sensors. Top Platinum versions get that plus dual wireless phone-charging pads, Bose premium audio, and cosmetic and comfort upgrades.
The Rogue Hybrid will also be Nissan’s first U.S. hybrid to use its e-Power series hybrid system and its first modern U.S. mass-market model without a charge port to utilize a true series-hybrid layout, with no mechanical connection between the engine and the drive wheels.
The e-Power hybrid system, which has been delivered in Japan, Europe, and other markets in nearly 2 million vehicles, is now in its third generation. In the version employed in the Rogue Hybrid, a dedicated engine tuned for “fixed-point operation” serves only as a generator, while a 2.1-kWh battery pack is somewhat larger than those used in the CR-V and RAV4. Dual electric motors drive the front and rear wheels, with Nissan pointing to its EV expertise for both economies of scale and a zippy driving feel.
What this amounts to, Nissan summed to WardsAuto earlier this summer, is a hybrid that drives more like an EV than its hybrid rivals, for Nissan’s top-selling vehicle in the U.S. market. For Nissan, e-Power could serve as an important business path toward repositioning its EVs and electrified vehicles as premium offerings to internal combustion models.
