Continental can use stereo camera, short-range lidar or mono camera for pedestrian protection.
Continental hosted journalists this week at the "Safety Park" it built in 2010 on wooded land adjacent to its crash test center in Alzenau, Germany. The supplier demonstrated its Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, such as autonomous emergency braking and pedestrian protection.
