Suburban Breaks Ground for New Honda and Acura Dealerships The Troy, MI-based Suburban Collection broke ground for its new Honda and Acura dealerships in Farmington Hills, MI.
The state-of-the-art flagship dealerships will be built on a nine-acre parcel. The new Honda store will be a 32,000-sq.-ft. facility and the new Acura dealership will be an 18,000-sq.-ft. building.
The two stores will open next spring and employ about75 sales and service professionals.
The two stories will boost the Suburban Collection to 14 dealerships and 16 domestic and import brands in Michigan and Florida. It also has two refinishing centers.
New BMW VP Oversees All Retail BMW has appointed Gene Donnelly to the newly created position of vice president of sales and center development. He will oversee all retail operations.
Wayne Orchowski has been named general manager of the central region. He is responsible for sales, marketing, after sales, customer satisfaction and dealer development.
Texan Heads Ford Dealer Council Jerry Reynolds, owner of Prestige Ford in Garland, TX, is named chairman of the National Ford Dealer Council for 2000.
His new responsibilities include prioritizing and relating key issues from all the regional dealer councils to Ford Motor Co., communicating the latest automobile industry trends back to dealerships and participating in dealership problem resolution and negotiation on behalf of all dealerships in the country.
