Miller Motorcars becomes Connecticut's only authorized Bentley dealership
Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motor Cars named Greenwich, CT-based Miller Motorcars, owned by Richard Koppelman, as the only authorized dealer in the state.
A fixture in the southern Connecticut and greater New York region since 1980, Miller Motorcars is the country's largest Aston Martin dealer and one of the most successful Ferrari dealers in the nation.
The dealership named Beverly Zone as sales manager of the new operation. Roy Veniga is the chief technician.
BMW Financial names Christman CEO
BMW Financial Services named John Christman as its chairman and chief executive officer. He is responsible for all of the company's operations in North and Latin America.
Previously, Mr. Christman was BMW Financial's chief financial officer, a position he held for three years.
Mr. Christman, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, joined BMW FS as controller in 1994.
Northwood U. honors New York dealer association president
Northwood University in Midland, MI honored Mark Schienberg, president of the Greater New York Automobile Dealers Association for his industry efforts.
In particular, he is credited for his work with the association's education and training of young people interested in pursuing dealership careers.
The association's Automotive Youth Educational Systems program helps high school automotive technical students to become qualified technicians.
Darrow Group expanding in Wisconsin
The Russ Darrow Automotive Group, based in West Bend, WI, is expanding its number of dealerships in that state.
The Darrow network's latest purchase is three Milwaukee stores — Goben Mitsubishi, Goben Cars-Suzuki and Goben Used. Earlier, Darrow obtained a Kia franchise in Madison.
Wisconsin's largest seller of vehicles, Darrow now has 17 stores, selling 10 different nameplates in the state.
