Stellantis is conducting a widespread reshuffle of senior executives, led by the appointment of Arnaud Belloni as CEO of Fiat and chief marketing officer for its European operations.
Belloni rejoins the group after six years working for the Renault Group, first as global chief marketing officer from November 2020, then as chief branding officer for all Renault’s brands from May 2023.
He had previously worked 16 years for Stellantis holding senior marketing positions across its Italian and French brands.
As head of Fiat, one of the group’s four global brands set out in its FaSTLAne 2030 business strategy, Belloni will also be in charge of both Lancia and Abarth, reporting to Emanuele Cappellano, chief operating officer for the enlarged Europe region.
FaSTLAne 2030 expects an increase in the Fiat’s market coverage, supported by upcoming global products appealing to an increasingly diverse range of customers, the company said in a statement.
Belloni takes over from veteran Stellantis executive Olivier François, who will support him through mid-October and continue to support the group as a strategic advisor.
Meanwhile, Xavier Peugeot has been appointed head of Jeep in Europe, a new position reporting directly to Cappellano.
This role is designed to provide Jeep with all the levers needed to meet European customers’ requirements, strengthen the brand’s development in Europe around product, marketing and sales.
He will be replaced as CEO of the DS Automobiles brand by Xavier Chardon who will continue to hold his current responsibilities for Citroën.
Other moves include former Fiat head Gaetano Thorel, who is now responsible for Lancia in enlarged Europe in addition to his current roles with Fiat and Abarth, reporting to Belloni.
Laurent Diot takes on DS Automobiles in addition to his current role at Citroën, reporting to Chardon, while Fabio Catone is now responsible for the Jeep, Ram and Dodge brands in Europe reporting to Xavier Peugeot.
