Cadillac is debuting its performance 2026 Lyriq-V crossover in Europe with a grand reveal at this weekend’s Le Mans 24-Hours race in France.
It is the first of the brand’s V performance battery-electric vehicle range to come to the Continent and the fastest Cadillac ever to make it on to European roads.
The Lyriq-V claims an estimated 615 hp and 650 lb.-ft. (880 Nm) of torque, thanks to a twin-eMotor all-wheel-drive system.
When employing the Velocity Max performance mode, the car accelerates from 0-to-62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.3 seconds, making it the most powerful and fastest production Cadillac ever made.
The model is powered by a 91-kWh battery, offering a range estimated by the automaker of up to 293 miles (470 km).
Cadillac also claims that when charged with a 190-kW DC fast charger, the Lyriq-V will recover up to 99 miles (159 km) in about 15 minutes.
Performance modifications over standard Lyric models include recalibrated multi-link suspension with continuously adaptive damping system; sharpened steering ratios; launch control and Competition modes, Brembo brakes as standard; and selectable regenerative braking.
General manager and president of General Motors Europe, Pere Brugal, says the choice of Le Mans as the model’s European debut harks back to Cadillac’s racing history at the event stretching back to the 1950s.
Brugal adds, “Also a demonstration of how technologies from racing can shape the future of electric mobility.”
Orders will be open this month, with the first customer deliveries expected in November. The Lyriq-V will be marketed from €110,184 ($125,795).
