Despite going through a corporate downsizing, General Motors Corp. reportedly plans to hire as many as 400 new engineers in the fields of powertrain engineering, product development and fuel cells.
GM is staging a May 5 job fair that is invitation-only, says The Detroit News, with applications being accepted at next week’s Society of Automotive (SAE) Engineers World Congress in Detroit.
GM also will be hiring for its OnStar and information technology groups, the report says.
