American Honda says production at all its North American plants will resume normal operation by Dec. 1, following a shortage in parts caused by flooding in Thailand.
The auto maker earlier in the year was forced to reduce output at some facilities up to 50%.
Honda says while the flooding continues to have some impact on its parts supply, it is working closely with suppliers to fully reestablish the flow of parts.
“We accomplished this by resourcing parts bound for North America outside of Thailand and by aiding suppliers in Thailand,” spokesman Ed Miller tells WardsAuto in an email.
Miller says Thai-sourced electrical components specifically led to production slowdowns or stoppages due to the floods.
