It is the dirtiest vehicle unveiling in New York auto show history, as firefighters rush in, turn on their hoses and reveal a unique all-new Jeep by blasting a thick layer of mud off it.

With the vehicle cleaned off and on display, show goers may think they are seeing double at the Jeep stand, where the first-ever 4-door Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is making its debut.

In addition to the two extra doors, the '07 model also is the first Wrangler to accommodate five passengers.

The extra doors mean the Wrangler goes up in size, adding 20.6 ins. to grow its wheelbase to 116 ins. In all, the 4-door Wrangler provides 102.9 cu.-ft. of interior room.

To enhance its passenger-carrying capability, the Wrangler's rear doors open a full 90-degrees. The Unlimited's all-new modular hardtop features three removable panels, allowing for different open-air configurations. A soft top, with a sunroof feature, is standard. And, as is typical with Wranglers, the windshield folds down.
