Twenty five years ago, Guy Hawthorne helped opened a one-car showroom in an early 20th century building in Coos Bay, OR.

Today, Hawthorne, who became full owner of Coos Bay Toyota in 1989, oversees an Image USA complex featuring new and used sales, service, parts and leasing operations on Oregon's coastal Highway 1.

The dealership has 27 employees. Hawthorne reports his car-to-truck sales as about equal, and calls the Tundra pickup a “welcome addition” to the Toyota lineup. Coos Bay is rooted in the fishing, lumber and tourism industries.
