The highlight of Dacia’s Geneva Motor Show 2024 offering will be the first public showing of its new Spring battery-electric vehicle weighing less than one metric ton.

The budget sub-brand of Renault claims to be ready to market the new model as the lightest BEV of any available to European markets providing a 4-door, 4-seat layout.

The vehicle features a new exterior and interior design and, despite compact dimensions, will boast best-in-class loading capacity. In-cabin technology offers a customizable digital dashboard featuring a 7-in. (17.8-cm) screen and a 10-in. (25.4-cm) multimedia center screen.

Two power outputs are offered with a 45 hp motor available on the Essential and Expression trims and 65 hp on the Expression and Extreme trims.

Other debuts include the third generation of the brand’s popular Duster compact SUV. First produced in 2010, the Duster has been a resounding sales success with more than 2.2 million vehicles produced to date. Developed on the CMF-B platform, this Duster offers a range of engines, including the gasoline/LPG TCe 100 Bi-Fuel, Hybrid 140, and the 48V TCe 130 mild-hybrid available in 4x2 and 4x4 powertrains. Prices will start at under €20,000 ($21,665).
