Nissan Refreshes 2024 Rogue’s Styling, Improves Connectivity

The ’24 Nissan Rogue goes on sale at U.S. dealerships in early 2024 with pricing to be announced later.

Nissan announces the Rogue midsize CUV receives a refresh for the ’24 model year that includes updated styling and connectivity improvements.

Nissan’s best-selling model is the automaker’s first with Google built-in, a class-exclusive feature on the SL and Platinum trims that includes Google Assistant, Google Maps and more on Google Play.

The Google apps are part of an infotainment system using a 12.3-in. (31-cm) high-definition color touchscreen. With Google built-in integrated directly into the ’24 Rogue, these apps can be used without pairing or plugging in a phone. Users will be able to talk to Google Assistant to navigate to their next destination, call or text a friend, or listen to music.

iPhone users will still be able to use standard Apple CarPlay (wired on S/SV trims, wireless on SL/Platinum), while Android users can also elect to use Android Auto (wired on S/SV, wireless on SL/Platinum).

Rogue S and SV offer an 8-in. (20-cm) touchscreen infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with AM/FM and SiriusXM satellite radio.

The refresh of the Rogue includes new front and rear fascia designs, a new version of Nissan’s V-motion grille, new inner taillights and satin-finish exterior badges. Rogue SV features a new 18-in. alloy wheel design. The cabin has been refreshed with new colors and textures for the door panels, seats, center console and passenger-side dashboard trim.

The 12.3-in. infotainment touchscreen, a 12.3-in. digital instrument cluster and a wireless-device charger are newly standard on the SL grade. The premium look and feel of Rogue Platinum is further enhanced with gloss-black fenders, lower exterior and front fascia trim pieces, and a new 19-in. wheel design. The new available chestnut brown leather upholstery has a richer, darker color.

The Rogue SL and Platinum grades also feature several additional advanced technologies, including Amazon Alexa Built-in, which can play music, place calls, listen to audiobooks, control smart home devices and more, with just voice commands.

Nissan Safety Shield 360 safety technology is standard on all grades. It includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blindspot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, high-beam assist and rear automatic braking.

The Rogue SV trim features ProPILOT Assist, combining Intelligent Cruise Control with Steering Assist. The system uses a forward-facing camera, forward-facing radar and other sensors to help keep Rogue centered within its lane. In stop-and-go traffic, ProPILOT Assist can bring the vehicle to a complete stop and hold it in place until traffic moves again.

Rogue features a standard 1.5L Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine paired with a continuously variable transmission. The VC-Turbo engine continuously adjusts its compression ratio to optimize power or efficiency, depending on driver demand. The engine is rated for 201 hp and 225 lb.-ft. (305 Nm) of torque.
