The Ioniq 5 will offer up to 300 miles (483 km) of driving range and a Vehicle-to-Load function allowing users to freely use or charge electric devices, such as electric bicycles, scooters or camping equipment out of the vehicle, Hyundai says.

Hyundai schedules the North American virtual premiere of its ’22 Ioniq 5 battery-electric CUV for 3 p.m. EDT Monday, May 24.

The first model in Hyundai’s new family of Ioniq BEVs, the Ioniq 5 will offer ultra-fast charging, up to 300 miles (483 km) of driving range and a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function allowing users to freely use or charge electric devices, such as electric bicycles, scooters or camping equipment out of the vehicle.

The Ioniq 5 goes on sale this fall.

The premiere will include appearances by José Muñoz, Hyundai global chief operating officer and president and CEO of both Hyundai Motor North America and Hyundai Motor America; Simon Loasby, head of Hyundai styling; and Olabisi Boyle, vice president-product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. The executives will discuss Hyundai’s commitment to electrification, Ioniq 5 design and North American product attributes.
