Ford dismantled a perfectly good 5.0L V-8 and put it back together with more displacement, less friction and weight, a volumetric efficiency of 110%, higher compression, 100 more horsepower and the ability to spin at a jaw-dropping 8,250 rpm without forced induction.

European LV Emissions Down, Fuel Efficiency Up
BMW, Mercedes and Audi all achieved 45 mpg in 2014, while Peugeot and Renault improved to 53.5 mpg and 52 mpg, respectively. BMW showed the biggest improvement over 2004, 34%, followed by Mercedes (32%) and Peugeot (28%).

Emissions Testing Backlog Problematic, FCA Exec Says
