The road to electrification is proving as bumpy as Michigan highways. And that goes for both automakers and their suppliers.
Bosch, with more than $50 billion in annual revenues, is the world’s largest auto supplier. But it now has the challenge of innovating around battery-electric vehicles, automating driver systems, creating hydrogen-powered transportation, and more, while maintaining its profitable and highly regarded internal-combustion-engine-related businesses.
Earlier this year, Paul Thomas was elevated to the new position of president of Bosch Mobility North America. He has a unique perspective because Bosch Mobility counts so-called legacy automakers, as well as those strictly focusing on BEVs and hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles, among customers and partners.
Thomas sat down with WardsAuto Podcast Host and WardsAuto Senior Editor David Kiley to discuss the issues of the day and tomorrow for Bosch and the industry as a whole.
