SEOUL, Aug 1 (Reuters) - South Korea posted a provisional trade surplus of $666 million in July, sharply down from a revised $2.32 billion surplus in June, the commerce ministry said on Friday.
The surplus narrowed mostly due to more than a month-long labour disputes at the country's largest auto maker, Hyundai Motor Co , that had resulted in about $600 million in lost exports since June 20, the ministry said.
Exports rose 16.0 percent year-on-year to $15.54 billion in July, while imports were up 14.1 percent at $14.88 billion, the ministry said.
