General Motors China installs the first Sunlogics Chevrolet Volt Green Zone solar charging station at its headquarters in Shanghai.
Additional installations are on tap for GM dealerships in China.
“The installation of the Green Zone solar charging station at our GM China headquarters proves our commitment to help develop an electric-vehicle charging infrastructure in the Chinese market,” says Ray Bierzynski, executive director-electrification strategy for GM China.
The charging station was installed by China Triumph International Engineering, which is handling Sunlogics engineering, procurement and construction services for GM in China.
The station has four vehicle bays. It generates output of 10 kW, capable of recharging six Chevrolet Volts a day.
GM began installing similar Sunlogics recharging stations at Chevrolet dealerships in the U.S. last year.
