The dealerships have ordered more than 5,100 new vehicles between October and December, intended as a message of confidence and support in Chrysler LLC. The auto maker, citing a lack of consumer credit for car buyers, has suspended all production from Dec. 19 to Jan.19.

The Chrysler Jeep Superstores Advertising Assn. is a group of 39 Chrysler Jeep Superstores throughout metro Detroit.

“Detroit is a city known for its strength and resilience. We're standing up and standing strong by Chrysler LLC,” says Association President James Schebil. “We have confidence in Detroit's automakers, and Chrysler in particular. We're going all in here.”
