Washington D.C. dealers are helping NFL Hall of Famer Bobby Mitchell raise money for curing leukemia and lymphoma.

The Washington Area New Automobile Dealers Association is the title sponsor for a July benefit golf tournament.

The tournament has raised more than $2.2 million since it started. Mitchell's interest in the cause stems from the 1962 leukemia-related death of fellow football player Ernie Davis. Mitchell is now a Washington Redskins executive.
