Next gen V12 powerplant for new Aston Martin flagship later this year.

Just when some thought the old internal-combustion-engine dinosaurs are breathing their last gasps, there’s a new roar in the auto jungle: the next generation of Aston Martin V-12s!

The iconic British sports car maker announces a fearsome new gasoline power plant to drive its ultra-luxury but sports-focused range of future vehicles. It’s been using V-12s in its flagship models for more than 25 years to showcase its in-house engineering capabilities for enhancing drivers' emotional engagement. Now it is promising 824 hp and a whopping 737 lb.-ft. (1,000 Nm) of torque from the new V-12 engine.

It’s the result of a complete redesign with the new engine refined at every stage of the internal-combustion process and promising best-ever performance and efficiency. Engineering highlights include a strengthened cylinder block and conrods, redesigned cylinder heads incorporating reprofiled camshafts, plus new intake and exhaust ports. Repositioned spark plugs and new higher flow rate fuel injectors deliver better combustion. In addition, new higher-speed, reduced-inertia turbochargers deliver increased performance and throttle response.

The new engine will feature across Aston Martin’s most exclusive and limited availability models and, as such, will be handcrafted, year by year, in strictly limited numbers. It will make its first appearance in a new flagship model that debuts later in 2024.

Aston Martin Chief Technical Officer Roberto Fedeli says: “The V-12 engine has long been a symbol of power and prestige, but it is also a statement of engineering passion and technical prowess. This unparalleled engine represents nothing less than the dawn of a dazzling new V-12 era for Aston Martin.”
