Hyundai releases photos and some drivetrain details of its new-generation i30 3-door hatchback that will debut at the Paris auto show on Sept. 27.

Designed and built within Europe exclusively for European markets, the new C-segment offering joins the 5-door hatchback and wagon to round out the Korean auto maker’s i30 range.

“The new-generation i30 3-door has been conceived solely for Europe, and will strengthen Hyundai’s presence further in the segment where we have seen our greatest success since 2007,” Allan Rushforth, senior vice president and chief operating officer of Hyundai Europe, says in a statement.

“Just as important, its sporty looks – offering a fresh interpretation of fluidic sculpture – will generate greater brand awareness and enhance consumer perceptions of Hyundai in Europe.”

The new i30 will offer six engine choices and either 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions. The engine lineup includes a U2 1.6L diesel that produces 128 hp, with a low carbon-dioxide emissions rating of 97 g/km.

The vehicle is covered by Hyundai’s 5-year Triple Care warranty and service contract. Besides the unlimited warranty, if offers five years of roadside assistance and five years of maintenance checkups.
