Cherry Bomb, the iconic glass-pack muffler manufacturer, is teaming up with Chrysler Group’s Mopar Performance division to build a custom ’06 Dodge Charger show car for display at the Specialty Equipment Market Assn. show in Las Vegas this fall.

The project is one of the first elements of Cherry Bomb’s effort to capitalize on the automotive industry’s renewed passion for muscle cars and vehicle personalization, the company says.

In addition, Cherry Bomb plans to expand its range of aftermarket exhaust products and accessories, while also embarking on an advertising blitz that will include print and television ads, various event sponsorships and project vehicle builds.

Modifications to the Cherry Bomb Charger include a suite of Mopar performance parts for the vehicle’s 5.7L Hemi V-8 and 5-speed automatic transmission. Among other features are a coil-over performance suspension kit; upgraded Kicker speakers from Stillwater Designs; a 3d Carbon body kit and a full Cherry Bomb exhaust system.
