JOHANNESBURG, Oct 27 (Reuters) - South African industrial group Barloworld Ltd has acquired the Avis and Budget car rental businesses in Denmark for 180 million rand ($26.87 million), the firm said on Thursday.
"The acquisition is expected to enhance earnings for the 2006 financial year," a statement said, adding that the takeover would be financed through internal resources.
