UK consumer confidence at 8-month low in Aug-GFK

LONDON, Aug 27 (Reuters) - Consumer confidence in Britain slipped this month to its lowest level since last December as a series of interest rate hikes from the Bank of England have begun to take a bite out of sentiment.
