Cadillac unveils the 2026 Escalade IQL, a roomier version of the Escalade IQ battery-electric SUV featuring more space for up to seven passengers and for cargo and gear.
“Escalade has been the best-selling luxury fullsize SUV in North America since 2014,” John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac, says in a news release. “The Escalade IQL is an important addition to the Escalade franchise and the Cadillac portfolio. With the Escalade IQL, Cadillac now offers a full lineup of internal-combustion and all-electric Escalade options for our customers, no matter the propulsion.”
The Escalade IQL’s exterior has a longer silhouette than that found on the Escalade IQ, creating more space in the third row and additional rear storage. The “frunk” under the hood offers an additional 12.2 cu.-ft. (345 L) of storage.
The interior retains the accommodations found in the Escalade IQ, including an available executive second row package offering stowable tray tables, 12.6-in. (32-cm) personal screens, a rear command center, dual wireless phone charging pads, massaging, heated and ventilated seats with 14-way power adjustment, and headrest speakers.
The third row provides more than 4 ins. (10.2 cm) of additional legroom (36.7 ins. [93.2 cm] vs. 32.3 ins. [82 cm]), and an additional inch of headroom (38.2 ins. [97 cm] vs. 37.2 ins. [94.5 cm]), Cadillac says. The third row folds flat for additional storage.
Elsewhere inside, Escalade IQL features:
- A curved pillar-to-pillar 55-in. (140-cm) diagonal infotainment display with voice control, navigation, an app store and dedicated Escalade IQL graphics.
- Standard AKG 4 Studio 21-speaker audio system, with available AKG Studio Reference 38-speaker system, which increases to 42 speakers with the optional executive second row package. The AKG audio system also features custom-tuned speakers and amplifier content.
- Dolby Atmos for greater depth, clarity and detail when listening to music and entertainment.
- Standard Super Cruise driver-assistance technology on all trims.
- Available 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability connected by OnStar, along with a comprehensive suite of OnStar safety and connected services.
- Passenger entertainment options including HD streaming and browser compatibility.
The Escalade IQL comes equipped with vehicle-to-home (V2H) bidirectional charging capabilities. When paired with the GM Energy V2H Bundle, this allows for the transfer
of energy between the vehicle and a properly equipped home.
The Escalade IQL delivers up to an estimated 460 miles (741 km) of range, and 116 miles (187 km) can be added in 10 minutes at a public DC fast-charging station. The Escalade IQL and IQ share a 24-module GM battery producing 205 kWh.
Cadillac will offer the Escalade IQL in four trims: Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury and Premium Sport. Prices start at $132,695 including destination charges. The SUV will be sold globally, with production launching in mid-2025 at General Motors’ Factory Zero plant in Detroit.
