Fiat to Establish Industrial Presence in Algeria

Parent company Stellantis has signed a framework agreement with Algeria’s Ministry of Industry for a project developing industrial, after-sales and spare parts operations for Fiat.

Fiat hopes to boost its presence in North Africa with an agreement to set up an industrial base in Algeria.

The brand’s parent company, Stellantis, has signed a framework agreement with Algeria’s Ministry of Industry for a project developing industrial, after-sales and spare parts operations for Fiat as well as the development of the automotive sector in Algeria.

Following a signing ceremony, Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares met the Algerian Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane, before commenting: “The signing of this framework agreement is in line with the historic place occupied by Stellantis and its brands in the Algerian automotive market.”
