Toyota Names Pflughaupt to Replace Farley as Marketing Head

Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. taps Randy Pflughaupt, vice president-distribution operations, to replace Jim Farley as vice president-marketing for the Toyota Div.

Farley last month was named group vice president and general manager-Lexus Div.

Also shifting gears will be Ernest Bastien, currently vice president-vehicle operations group, who becomes vice president-retail market development.

Nancy Davies becomes vice president-North American planning, replacing Steve Sturm who transferred to Toyota Motor North America in New York. Davis previously was vice president-retail market development.

Other staffing moves include Steve Haag, from corporate manager-Scion to corporate manager-private distributors. Haag will swap jobs with Jack Hollis.

Also, Brian Smith, currently corporate manager-truck, adds the responsibility for SUVs to his title.
