Chrysler will sell five versions of the all-new ’17 Pacifica minivan, starting with the base LX priced at $28,595 and topping out with the Limited model at $42,495. The Town & Country replacement goes on sale this spring.

Mid-trim levels include the Touring starting at $30,495, Touring-L at $34,495 and Touring-L Plus at $37,895. Prices do not include $995 destination charge.

Standard equipment on the LX includes Stow ’n Go seats, Stow ’n Go Assist on the driver’s side that aids in folding and stowing the second-row seat, power driver’s seat, active noise cancelation, a six-speaker audio system, one-touch up/down power front windows, second-row power windows, Bluetooth connectivity, rear backup camera, passive entry, halogen headlamps, 17-in. aluminum wheels and a capless fuel filler.

Pacifica Touring adds SiriusXM satellite radio, power sliding doors, passive entry on all doors and automatic headlamps.

The list of features grows with the Touring-L, including leather seats, heated front seats, remote start, three-zone climate control, projector-beam headlamps, fog lamps, chrome trim accents and power liftgate, along with a suite of safety features including rear park assist with stop, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-path detection.

Touring-L Plus adds a rear-seat entertainment system, a 7-in. (17.7-cm) driver information screen, heated steering wheel, power passenger seat, Stow ’n Go Assist (passenger side), heated second-row seats, a 13-speaker Alpine sound system and an 8.4-in. (21.3-cm) Uconnect touchscreen.

The maxed-out Limited includes Nappa leather seats (ventilated in front), power third-row seats, 3-D navigation, a Stow ’n Vac integrated vacuum, high-intensity-discharge headlamps, LED fog lamps, power folding mirrors, hands-free sliding power doors and liftgate and a tri-pane panoramic sunroof.

Other optional features include heated second-row seats, 20-in. wheels, 10-in. (25.4-cm) seatback touchscreens, parallel and perpendicular park assist, 360-degree-view camera; rotary e-shifter and a programmable key fob.

“With nearly 40 innovations not offered by any others in its class, the all-new Chrysler Pacifica is the new benchmark in the segment that we invented more than 30 years ago.” says Timothy Kuniskis, FCA North America-head of passenger car brands. “The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica offers more features – and at a better value than our key competitors – on each and every trim level.”

All models come equipped with a 287-hp 3.6L V-6 paired with a minivan-first 9-speed automatic transmission. EPA fuel economy is rated at 18/28 mpg (13-8.4 L/100 km) city/highway, up 5.9% and 12%, respectively, compared with the outgoing Town & Country. Combined fuel economy of 22 mpg (10.7 L/100 km) represents a 10% gain.

Fuel-saving stop/start technology comes later this year, followed by a segment-first plug-in hybrid version in the second half of 2016 providing up to 30 miles (148 km) of electric-only range and an estimated 80 mpg-e (2.9 L/100 km).
