Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc. announces the reduced-content, ’07 Scion tC Spec Package will start at $15,000 with a 5-speed manual transmission, excluding $540 for destination.

An optional 4-speed automatic adds $800 to the price.

Compared with the regular tC, which starts at $16,400, the Spec Package serves as a “blank canvas” aimed at catering to the creative desires of the aftermarket tuner community.

“We brought this model to the market specifically for the tuner who wants to start modifications with a clean palette,” Scion Vice President Mark Templin says.

Arriving on dealer lots in June, the ’07 tC Spec Package features 16-in. steel wheels with bespoke wheel covers, a unique front-end treatment, fixed-glass panorama roof, unique upholstery and a urethane steering wheel.

Super White, Flint Mica, Black Sand Pearl and Classic Silver are the only color choices, Toyota says.

In addition, the new model carries over other ’07 model tC updates, including new seat fabric and a tire pressure monitoring system.
