General Motors Europe and Renault SA mark the continuation of their light commercial vehicle partnership with the introductions of four new vans.

Renault takes the wraps off re-engineered versions of the Trafic compact van and Master large van, while Opel/Vauxhaull built the Vivaro compact van and the large Movano vans, the auto maker says.

Since 1999, more than 1.2 million light commercial vehicles have been manufactured by the GM-Renault alliance.

The Trafic-Master tandem is built at Nissan Motor Co. Ltd.’s plant in Barcelona, Spain, and in Luton, U.K.

The Vivaro and Movano are built in Batilly, France.

Adam Opel AG and Renault spent more than €700 million ($893 million) on design and production engineering for the new programs.
