Judging from the sticker prices, the Chrysler Group doesn't intend to make the same mistake with its new rear-drive LX sedans that it made with the Chrysler Pacifica.

The '05 Chrysler 300C and Dodge Magnum will start at $23,595 and $22,495, respectively, including destination charge.

The relatively low price of entry for the large sedans, which boast as much interior room as big premium luxury cars, such as the BMW 7-Series and Audi A8, should assure that Chrysler will not find itself scaring off potential buyers with high initial prices, which is what happened with the Pacifica. Its original model mix sent to dealers was heavy on option-packed, expensive versions.

Entry-level LX models feature a 190-hp, 2.7L V-6. Top-line 300C and Magnum models equipped with Chrysler's 5.7L, 340-hp Hemi V-8 and 5-speed automatic transmission are priced at $32,995 and $29,995, respectively. They can do 0-60 in 6.3 seconds.
