If Toyota dealers are getting better, Lexus dealers are about as good as it gets.

So says Dennis Clements, vice president and general manager of Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. Inc.'s Lexus Division.

In past years, Toyota dealers didn't score so well on customer satisfaction ratings. They're improving with some prodding from the home office. But the nation's 179 Lexus dealers are consistently at the top of the CSI lists.

Says Mr. Clements, “The reason Lexus has been so successful is, yeah, we build great cars, but it's also our dealers. Our dealers do whatever it takes.

“People tell me, ‘I love my Lexus and I love my dealer.’”
