Jeep Tops Year’s First Most-Seen Ads Chart

Jeep takes first place for the week of Dec. 30-Jan. 5 with a spot that celebrates snow days, showing how its models can take on harsh weather conditions while other vehicles are “closed for the day.”

Jeep starts the year No.1 in iSpot.tv’s ranking of the most-viewed automotive commercials – the ads that have generated the highest number of impressions across national broadcast and cable TV airings.

Jeep takes first place for the week of Dec. 30-Jan. 5 with a spot that celebrates snow days, showing how its models can take on harsh weather conditions while other vehicles are “closed for the day.”

The second-place ad shows a fleet of Mercedes-Benz models zipping through snowy woods before coming upon a pack of reindeer. Narrator Jon Hamm says, “May your holidays glow bright, and all your dreams take flight,” before urging viewers to take advantage of the Mercedes-Benz Winter Event.

The seasonal sales continue with Hyundai’s No.3 commercial, which highlights special deals on the ’20 Santa Fe CUV.

In Chevrolet’s fourth-place spot, spokesman Potsch Boyd quizzes “real kids (not actors)” about the safety features available in the ’20 Equinox. This commercial has the best iSpot Attention Index (168) in the ranking, getting 68% fewer interruptions than the average auto ad (interruptions include changing the channel, pulling up the guide, fast-forwarding or turning off the TV).

Ford rounds out the ranking with an ad highlighting how the F-150 pickup can tow up to 13,200 pounds (6,000 kg) of whatever – from antique cars and horse trailers to watermelons and wood.
