For a second straight week, Ford’s Summer Sales Event promotion tops iSpot.tv’s ranking of the most-viewed automotive commercials – the ads that have racked up the highest number of impressions across national broadcast and cable TV airings.
The Ford ad holding on to first place for the week of Aug. 13 garnered 346.5 million TV ad impressions, even more than in the previous seven-day period. This spot points out how the Pro-Trailer Backup Assist feature available on certain models can help with tasks such as backing a boat into the water. Viewers are told interest-free financing is available for 60 months on F-150 pickups.
Hyundai’s second-place spot shows off the many ways its vehicles can be used for summer excursions, including camping trips and hauling canoes, kayaks or bikes. The automaker’s Epic Summer Sales Event gives people a chance to lease the ’18 Tucson for $179 a month for 36 months or get 0.9% financing for up to 60 months.
Sliding to No.3 is Chevy’s enduring ad featuring a group of customers talking about the importance of dependable vehicles. The ad points out Chevy has won J.D. Power dependability awards for its cars, trucks and SUVs three years in a row.
A 15-second spot from Audi takes fourth place, urging viewers to “pursue what drives you,” while Nissan closes out the chart with yet another sales promo. During the Nissan Bottom Line Model Year-End Event, customers can get deals on models including the ’18 Titan, featuring a V-8 with “best-in-class standard horsepower and torque.” Buyers can save up to $12,692 on a Titan, or up to $4,500 on the ’18 Armada.
