FCA US Sales up 5.4% in March on Strength of Jeep, Chrysler and Ram

The Ram truck brand had its best March sales since 2007, although deliveries of the Ram pickup were flat compared with year-ago.&nbsp;

FCA US posted a 5.4% increase on a daily basis last month to 195,518, marking the automaker’s best March performance since 2007 and extending its year-over-year sales gains to 60 consecutive months.  

The Chrysler, Jeep and Ram brands posted gains of 19.5%, 28.4% and 3.4%, respectively.

The Chrysler 200 midsize sedan had its strongest month ever with a 165.0% jump compared with year-ago to 19,190 units.

The Dodge Dart also had a record month, posting a 62.3% increase to 9,572 units.

The Jeep lineup continued its positive sales momentum and has set a sales record each month dating back to November 2013. The Jeep Cherokee and Patriot were standouts, recording gains of 43.5% and 46.2%, respectively.   

The Ram truck brand, which includes the Ram fullsize pickup, as well as the ProMaster, ProMaster City and cargo vans, had its best March sales since 2007. However, deliveries of the Ram pickup were flat compared with 39,852 units year-ago.

FCA US finished the month with 578,648 units, a 73 days’ supply.
