Cooper Standard to Build New World HQ

Automotive supplier Cooper Standard will build a new world headquarters in Northville, MI.

The new facility, expected to be completed in early 2020, is located near Cooper Standard’s current world headquarters in Novi, MI, and its Global Technology Center in Livonia, MI.

The three-story, 110,000-sq.-ft. (10,230-sq.-m) building will be built with state-of-the-art energy management systems with a focus on recycling to reduce its overall carbon footprint, Cooper Standard says in a news release. The new headquarters will house about 400 employees with opportunities for future expansion.

“Our new world headquarters will be designed to fit our strategic vision and support our culture of innovation and employee engagement,” company Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Edwards says. “This is an important new chapter for Cooper Standard that will help ensure our competitiveness and ability to recruit and retain talent.”

Cooper Standard is a global supplier of systems and components for the automotive industry including rubber and plastic sealing, fuel and brake lines, fluid transfer hoses and anti-vibration technology. It employs 33,000 people in 21 countries.
