Fisker to Supply BEVs to Danish Ride-Hailing Service

Fisker says it will supply Viggo with battery-electric Ocean SUVs in fourth-quarter 2022, when the vehicle goes into production at contract assembler Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz, Austria.

Electric-vehicle startup Fisker signs an agreement to deliver 300 units to Danish ride-hailing service Viggo.

Los Angeles-based Fisker says in a news release it will supply Viggo with battery-electric Ocean SUVs in fourth-quarter 2022, when the vehicle goes into production at contract assembler Magna Steyr’s plant in Graz, Austria.

Copenhagen-based Viggo has deployed 55 EVs since its founding in 2019 and plans to expand its Scandinavian base into Norway in 2021. The company’s focus is on business users and clients include large multinational companies.

“We created the Fisker Ocean with space, range and value as product priorities, attributes that are also very important to Viggo, their drivers and customers,” Fisker Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker says. “As someone born and raised in Denmark, I am also personally proud that this Danish company has chosen to work with Fisker and put their confidence in our company and products.

“This agreement is the first of many multi-vehicle orders that we are planning to sign with both mobility companies like Viggo and large corporate fleets.”
