The financial crisis has prompted dealerships to cut back on the number of showrooms around the country. They also are struggling to access foreign currency to pay for new stock and spare parts.
Automakers’ domestic sales have fallen by half this year and they face higher costs of importing key raw materials because of depreciation of the lira, high interest rates and inflation.
