Cars.com is the first automotive website to launch a mobile version of its site. Shoppers can access it from web-enabled mobile devices and do almost anything that can be done from a personal computer.

The mobile site provides shoppers access to information and tools on Cars.com in a format optimized for their personal device.

Mobile shoppers can find a local dealer through the site's dealer locator, which will also offer maps and directions to the dealership and click-to-call functionality.

Shoppers also can search Cars.com's inventory to get more details on cars that interest them, including photos. Other features allow shoppers to access Kelley Blue Book's Used Car Values, calculate vehicle payments and read reviews and automotive news via Cars.com's blog, KickingTires.

Thirty percent of consumers indicated they would access the site from a dealership lot, according to a Cars.com survey. Cars.com expects that number to rise quickly as mobile Internet access grows at a rate of one million subscribers a month,.
