The U.S. continued its moderately paced recovery, finishing the year as the second-largest vehicle market behind China, with sales of 13 million vehicles.
Global auto makers sold 6.52 million vehicles in November, the fourth highest monthly total in 2011. Deliveries rose only 2.3% above year-ago, but did exceed October’s 1.3% gain.
WardsAuto’s forecast calls for U.S. auto makers to deliver 1.23 million light vehicles this month, a 15% gain over November’s DSR and an 8% increase on year-ago.
